New Confident You
Join me for an evening of motivation and confidence building on Thursday April 15th in the Four Seasons Hotel, Dublin 4 (6.30pm-9.30pm.)
Following the success of the Ignite 2010 workshop in January, and in response to many requests, I've designed a workshop focussing specifically on the topics of confidence, assertiveness and empowerment.
Let's face it, most of us would like to feel more self-confident at least some of the time. Join me and a select group of like-minded people on April 15th and discover many practical ways you can enhance your self confidence any time, anywhere.
Cost €50. Refreshments included and 10% of the ticket price goes to Concern's School Days Programme. Book before March 26th and secure your place for just €40.
Email me to secure your place.

Discover the work you were born to do
I'm a big fan of the work of Nick Williams, the UK-based author and speaker.
Nick recently launched a free e-course
'Discover the work you were born to do.' It is an insightful course that you can download via the link below.
A few weeks ago Nick recorded an interview with me during which we discussed the topic of leadership as well my motivation for what I feel I is the work I was born to do. You can listen to this interview by clicking on the second link below.

21st Century Leadership
Fortune Magazine recently published the results of its ‘best companies to work for survey.’ Companies like Google, Apple (Steve Jobs pictured) and Dreamworks featured in the top ten.
In this survey, when staff were asked why they love (not like) working for their employers, issues like salary and bonuses were not mentioned. In this third article in my leadership series, I explore what leaders need to do to create inspiring work environments.

What James is Reading
The Upside of a Downturn by Geoff Colvin
Geoff Colvin is one of my favourite business writers. I loved his first book 'Talent is over-rated' and bought this, his second book as soon as it was published.
Topical, easy to read, with plenty of practical insights and casestudies, it is essential reading
for forward thinking leaders. Check it out.
