With the Christmas Party season upon us, it is a great time to practice your networking skills. Here are 12 great tips.

  1. By being genuinely interested in others, others will be interested in you.
  2. Let the other person do most of the talking. Remember the best conversationalists are the best listeners.
  3. Smile. It is difficult to create rapport with someone who scowls.
  4. Practice how you introduce yourself.

As 2007 draws to a close what did you learn this year?

Here are 15 powerful questions that will stimulate your thinking?

2. What was your biggest triumph in 2007?

3. Who were the three people that had the greatest impact on your life in 2007?

Welcome to the Dec.’07 edition of Next Steps

Firstly, thank you for the amazing response to the launch of my CD ‘How to Excel at Interviews’ in last month's Next Steps.

This being the last edition of 2007, the lead article poses the question 'what did you learn in 2007?'

It is also a good time of the year to reflect on our work/life balance, so I've included the link to the Sphere of Life, a simple but effective coaching tool.

Lastly I wish you and your families a wonderful and wonder-filled Christmas.
