Are you a Business Athlete?

Change is automatic, but progress is not.

In today’s business world, to climb the career ladder you need a variety of skills and expertise. You also need to have the right attitude and mindset. People who achieve success in their chosen fields follow what I label, the principles of success. Irrespective of your current position, apply these six principles to enhance your career altitude.

The quality of a company reflects the passion for excellence that each member of the staff displays. While roles may differ everyone is professional in their own right.

Act to Create it in 2008

By Jack Canfield

NLP - What's it all about

You may have come across the term NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) but what exactly is it?

There are many definitions:

  • The study of the structure of subjective experience.
  • How to use the language of the mind to consistently achieve specific and desired outcomes.

I'm currently completing an NLP Master Practitioner course with the NLP Training Institute and I can highly recommend all their courses.

If you are interested in learning more about NLP or want to do some serious personal development work in 2008, check them out.

And finally...

"The ship is safest when it is in port, but that’s not what ships were built for."

Welcome to the Feb. '08 edition of Next Steps

Our lead article this month contains 6 Principles of Success. Apply them and you will be proactively shaping the life and career you desire.

Keeping with that theme, Act to Create it in 2008 by Jack Canfield emphasises the fact that thinking is not enough, you have to take action.

I enjoyed reviewing the 36 articles published in Next Steps in 2007 and it was interesting to note the ones that proved most popular. I've included in this edition of Next Steps the top 5 articles from 2007.Of course reading them and acting upon them are two different things!
