Top Tips
Below are 14 great tips that will transform your New Year Resolutions into achievable and compelling goals.

1. Write down your goals.
‘Ink them, don’t just think them’. The act of writing out your goals and resolutions will make them more real. Make sure you keep them some place visible where you can view them regularly.

2. Positively worded, with Positive Impact
Do your goals have a positive intent? For example, ‘loosing weight’ is not a positive goal. Having a ‘healthy lifestyle’ is.

3. Be Specific
Vague goals achieve vague results. Get specific about the exact goals you wish to achieve. Make sure you place a target date beside each goal; otherwise there is the danger of placing action on the long finger!

Completing 2005 & Creating 2006
'What the mind conceives, the body achieves'

January is synonymous with making resolutions, usually to do with loosing weight after the excesses of the Christmas season. This year why not seize the opportunity and make some ‘New You’ resolutions.
Before embarking upon creating some resolutions or goals for 2006, it is useful and interesting to reflect on 2005. Below are some great questions that will help you do just that.

1. What was your biggest triumph in 2005?
2. What was the smartest decision you made in 2005?
3. What one word best sums up and describes your 2005 experience?
4. What was the greatest lesson you learned in 2005?
5. What was the most loving service you performed in 2005?
6. What is your biggest piece of unfinished business in 2005?
7. What are you most happy about completing in 2005?
8. Who were the three people that had the greatest impact on your life in 2005?
9 .What was the biggest risk you took in 2005?
10. What was the biggest surprise in 2005?
11. What important relationship improved the most in 2005?
12 .What compliment would you liked to have received in 2005?
13. What compliment would you liked to have given in 2005?
14. What else do you need to do or say to be complete with 2005?

It is worth remembering that what we accomplish is not who we are. What we do is not who we are. It is who we become in the process of working towards the goal that is the real achievement.

With this in mind and having reflected on 2005 (and perhaps even identified a few actions or goals as a result), click here to discover the insightful questions that will help you identify and create some compelling goals for yourself in 2006
