From Resolutions to Results

Here are 14 ways to turn ineffective resolutions into achievable results.

1. Write Down Your Goals
´Ink them, don't just think them´. The act of writing out your goals and resolutions will make them more real. Make sure you keep them some place visible where you can view them regularly.

2. Positively Worded, With Positive Impact
Do your goals have a positive intent? For example, 'losing weight' is not a positive goal. Having a 'healthy lifestyle' is.

3. Be Specific
Vague goals achieve vague results. Get specific about the exact goals you wish to achieve. Make sure you place a target date beside each goal; otherwise there is the danger of placing action on the long finger!

Happy New year and welcome to the Jan. '09 edition of Next Steps

Yes, it is that time of the year when we struggle to get back into the swing of things following the festivities of the Christmas period. January can be a tough month for many people and perhaps this year it will be even more challenging.

As ever I have tried to include some topical articles that will provide a timely injection of motivation and inspiration.

To coincide with the 50th edition of Next Steps, plans are afoot for a new look ezine. Next month will see the launch of my new CD 'How to Boost you Self Confidence', so watch this space.
